ATTENDANCE: Attendance is extremely important. What we do in class involves active participation, and it is essential that your child is on time and present each day. However, we do realize that illness, family emergencies, and doctor’s appointments do occur. Please try to schedule appointments later in the afternoon or during holidays if at all possible. Please send a note or doctor excuse the next day, each time your child is absent from school.
INSTRUCTION: Students may enter the school at 8:00 when the bell rings. Parents are not allowed to drop children off in front of school before the carpool line begins, unless they are participating in the extended day program. If your child is not eating breakfast, they should report directly to their classrooms to begin the morning’s assignments. Instruction begins promptly at 8:30 and continues throughout the day until dismissal at 3:25.
BEHAVIOR: This school year we will continue implementing PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and supports).
DISMISSAL: Please be reminded that for safety reasons and on-going instruction, we can only dismiss your child when they have been called through the office. Checkouts are not allowed after 2:30. Also, if your child will be going home a different way than usual, we MUST receive a parent note with your signature stating the change.
